What the app does

ScreenApp is a screen time and parental control app: when the time limit you set runs out, it locks the apps you chose. All measuring and locking happens on the phone.

Stored only on your phone

• The rules and time limits you set.
• How long each app is used, measured on the phone through Android usage access.
• Daily and weekly usage reports.
• A one-way hash of your password (PBKDF2); the password itself is not stored.
• The note shown on the lock screen.
• An event log (e.g. protection turned off, time limit reached).

This information is never sent to us or anyone else. There is no account; our servers hold no data about you.

Recovery with Google (optional)

You can link a Google account in case you forget your password. Sign-in happens on Google's own screen through Google Play services; Google handles it under its own privacy policy.

The app receives only your account ID and email address from Google. The phone keeps only a one-way hash of the ID and a masked email (e.g. e***@gmail.com); they are never sent anywhere and are used only to check during recovery that it is the same account.

The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Permissions and why

• Usage access: measures how long apps are open.
• Display over other apps: shows the lock screen when time runs out.
• Foreground service: runs continuously to measure screen time and shows this with a permanent notification.
• Notifications: shows the protection notice and "time almost up" warnings.
• Run at startup: keeps protection on after a restart.
• Device admin: only prevents uninstalling without the password; no admin policies are used.

Deleting your data

In the app, Settings (Ayarlar) → Security (Güvenlik) → "Verileri sil" (Delete data, with your password), or uninstalling the app, removes all data. There is no server-side data to delete.

Children

The app is installed by an adult (a parent or the user themselves). When it is installed on a child's phone, data still never leaves the phone.

Ads and third parties

There are no ads. No analytics, crash reporting or advertising services are used; no data is shared with third parties.

Changes

If ads, a paid version or a server are ever added, this policy is updated first and its version number goes up.
